Asociación Española de Ensayos No Destructivos (AEND)

AEND is not for profit association of professionals and companies operating in the NDT field. Its main objectives are:

To promote and facilitate the implementation of techniques for the management and improvement
of NDT in public and private industry and services.
To promote professional improvement and permanent training in the scope of the NDT.
To promote and facilitate the teaching of these techniques at all levels and for all classes of public and private organisations.
To certify personal in NDT through its independent body of certification, CERTIAEND.
To promote the investigation of various NDT methods through CERTIAEND.
To collaborate with suitable national and international organisations in the preparation of standards and specifications for NDT.
To promote, organise and sponsor meetings of working committees, conferences, congresses, colloquia, exhibitions and other activities in which published technical or scientific works related to the NDT or related topics are discussed or studied. Also to collaborate with other organisations to spread to knowledge and development of NDT. AEND organised the 8th European Conference on NDT in 2002 in Barcelona.
To compile and select information relative to the science and technology of NDT and for general diffusion to its members.
To the train and qualify NDT personnel.

Role
To survey the LRUT market in Western Europe, its current and future needs (WP-A), to input into the training and certification needs for technicians (WP-H), to provide and facilitate dissemination and exploitation plans in Spain, organise LRUCM National Conferences & Workshops, (WP-I).
