Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Zerstorungsfreie Prufung E.V. (DGZfP)
Germany

DGZfP is the institution which co-ordinates NDT activities in Germany. It is a technological society with more than 1,500 corporate and individual members. Of its 530 corporate members 90% are SMEs. Its main objectives are to support research and development in NDT and the application and dissemination of NDT testing methods. DGZfP is a particularly important member of the Consortium because the European Federation for Non Destructive Testing has designated it to organise the 9th European Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (ECNDT) in 2006. This will combine a major international technical conference with a huge NDT exhibition. The conference will be an ideal forum for presentations on LRUCM by the consortium members and the exhibition will be an opportunity for hardware developments available at that stage to be displayed.

Role
To survey the LRUT market in Western Europe, its current and future needs (WP-A), to input into the training and certification needs for technicians (WP-H), to provide and facilitate dissemination and exploitation plans in Germany, organise LRUCM National Conferences & Workshops (WP-I).
