European Federation of Non Destructive Testing (EFNDT)

EFNDT, a partnership for Safety and Quality, is a federation of national non-destructive testing societies. It has 25 Full Members, 18 of them from within the EU. These members represent the 1,100 NDT service companies, 600 of whom are SMEs. EFNDT also has 5 Associate Members from outside Europe (Brazil, China, India, Israel, and Japan). Its main objectives are: -

  • To develop powerful Working Groups, the results of which should answer the NDT problems of industrial and public organisations.
  • To establish a European system for personnel qualification.
  • To set up a European Certification Programme.
  • To promote total quality in NDT for the benefit of its members, NDT users and society at large.
  • To demonstrate the performance of and to strengthen confidence in NDT.
  • To guide global NDT co-operation in close connection with transatlantic understanding.
Role
To survey the LRUT market in Europe, its current and future needs (WP-A), to input into the training and certification needs for technicians (WP-H), to provide assistance in the dissemination and exploitation plans in Europe, organise LRUCM National Conferences & Workshops (WP-I).
