KTU is the biggest technical university in Lithuania and other neighbouring Baltic countries. The Ultrasound Institute is part of the University. Research and development in the field of ultrasonics started more than 38 years ago. The main activities of the Ultrasound Institute are: research and development, technology transfer, training, consultancy and engineering in the field of non-destructive testing. The Ultrasound Institute is also involved in many research & development projects in joint ventures with Lithuanian and other European research centres and engineering schools.
