TWI is one of Europe's largest independent research and technology organisations. It provides industry with technical support in welding, NDT and associated technologies. TWI has over approximately 500 skilled staff and a turnover of €50M. It has participated in approximately 35 European projects including several Framework V, CSG and CRAFT projects.

Role
Analyse LRUT needs surveys (WP-A), research sensor design (piezoelectric & non contact transducers) (WP-B), modelling, sensors arrays, coupling analysis & methods (WP-C), correlation, wavelets, flaw sizing software (WP-D), develop methods of load applications (WP-E), systems integration and software debugging (WP-F), laboratory & field trials (WP-G), prepare course notes, develop defect library, devise technician certification scheme (WP-H), organise LRUCM sessions at European conferences and workshops (WP-I), project management (WP-J).
